Blackwater Tech, founded by Kawhia Chambers, emerged as a premier film diving service during the production of Jason Momoa’s TV series, Chief of War.
When the production urgently needed a stunt diving team for a scene featuring Momoa mimicking a daring leap into a deep lake and standing on rocks ie: ‘’mega decks’ submerged beneath the surface, Blackwater Tech rose to the occasion.
Since then, it has become synonymous with reliability and excellence in providing specialised underwater equipment rentals, including compressor pumps, dive tanks, and full dive kits, ensuring filmmakers have the tools they need for seamless and safe underwater filming experiences.”

Coming from a military life spent in warzones to drilling for black gold, I transitioned into the dynamic world of filmmaking over the past 12 years. My journey began as an action extra on Shannara Chronicles, sparking a passion for the industry.
Quickly immersing myself in the intricacies of stunt work and film diving, I honed my skills on various sets, including blockbuster productions like Avatar, Minecraft, Sweet Tooth, Rings of Power, Chief of War, Deep Water, Power Rangers, and many others.
Leveraging my diverse experiences and expertise whilst contract film diving for another company, I established Blackwater Tech to provide top-notch film diving services and equipment rentals, ensuring productions have the necessary resources for successful underwater scenes
